Chicago 2024 Host Committee and Democratic National Convention Committee Select Women-Led Local, Diverse-Owned Enterprises for Official Hospitality Events
Chicago, IL – Following a rigorous search and selection process, the Chicago 2024 Host Committee and the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) selected two local, diverse-owned teams with extensive large-scale event planning and execution experience to produce the largest official hospitality events for the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Chicago-based event production company Juan and Only Events has partnered with local firms elemento L2 and All Terrain to produce events welcoming convention attendees. Chicago’s Revel Global Events and 5423 Productions have also teamed to execute other official convention events that will showcase local enterprises.
The event management team plays a crucial role in building out the infrastructure for official convention-sponsored hospitality events. The team manages all aspects of event production and execution, including layout development, creative and scenic fabrication, and overall event management and tear down. The event management team will work closely with the Host Committee and DNCC to provide venue recommendations and ensure that the convention’s goals of accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability are at the forefront of every event.

Juan and Only, LLC is a Chicago-based minority- and women-owned creative agency that specializes in consulting on venues and hotels, community engagement and experiential activations, and co-producing large-scale events, concerts, and festivals. The team has extensive connections and experience across the Chicagoland region.
elemento L2 is a Latino-owned, award-winning marketing agency that specializes in experiential marketing, branding, and creative strategy. They are based in downtown Chicago.
All Terrain Collective is the first female-founded experiential marketing agency in the U.S. Based in Chicago, the team has led the experiential and event marketing movement for more than 25 years.
Revel Global Events, 5423 Productions
Revel Global Events is a local, women and LGBTQ-owned enterprise that specializes in event production and management. The Chicago-based team handles all aspects of event planning and execution and has a diverse client base including universities, non-profits, and Fortune 500 companies.
5423 Productions is a boutique, women and Black-owned event production company that specializes in curating and producing impactful experiences for clients. 5423 Productions will work with Revel Global Events to provide world-class event services for the Democratic National Convention.
The selection process for hospitality vendors began back in December 2023 when a Request for Proposal was released and widely circulated to relevant stakeholders and vendors. The Host Committee and DNCC also held a virtual outreach summit for interested parties. The selection committee reviewed and evaluated bids based on numerous criteria, including but not limited to, a firm’s experience, ability to meet all contractual requirements and perform the full scope of services, incorporation of Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods, cost of services, relationships to Chicago, Illinois, and the surrounding region, and inclusion of minorities, women, persons with disabilities, persons who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, and veterans, both as owners and as part of a vendor’s workforce.
Earlier this year the Host Committee and DNCC announced the selection of four major vendors who play a critical role in executing the convention at the United Center including Construction Manager, Event Architect, Event Manager, and Exposition Services. Exposition Services was awarded to Show Strategy, the first Black-owned firm to ever receive the contract. K + P Advisory, LLC, a certified WBE, was selected to serve as Owner’s Representative last November.
