How will Chicago residents be impacted?

Who can attend the Convention?

The Democratic National Convention welcomes delegates from all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and the American territories. State parties manage the delegate selection process in each state and territory.

The Host Committee highly encourages members of the Chicago community and beyond to participate in the convention by signing up to become a volunteer. Volunteer roles include supporting security, transportation, wayfinding, event staffing, technology, operations, communications, and more.

How do I become a delegate?

State parties manage the delegate selection process in each state and territory.

In Illinois, interested parties should fill out the Illinois Delegate Interest Form located on the Democratic Party of Illinois’ website. All submissions will be reviewed by the Democratic Party of Illinois for completeness and accuracy. Completing the survey does not in any way guarantee selection as a Delegate. More information about the Delegate selection process can be found at ildems.com/resources or by emailing delegateselection@ildems.com.
