Chicago, IL — Today, the Chicago 2024 Host Committee announced it shattered fundraising goals and brought in a record-breaking $94 million for the Democratic National Convention. The total breaks all previously held records for convention fundraising for both Democratic and Republican conventions, demonstrating the historic levels of enthusiasm for the Chicago convention.

Chicago, IL — Today, the Chicago 2024 Host Committee announced that ten high schools from across the state of Illinois will participate in the Illinois Youth Press Corps. More than forty student journalists will be fully credentialed to report on the 2024 Democratic National Convention, making the Illinois Youth Press Corps the most robust youth coverage opportunity in convention history.

Chicago, IL — Today, the Chicago 2024 Host Committee unveiled a new ad campaign, “The Future is Built in Chicago”, featuring community leaders from nine neighborhoods in the city. The campaign aims to highlight Chicago’s diverse community areas and the working people who reside in them. The campaign is live on digital billboards and street furniture throughout the city with a special emphasis on high-traffic areas where delegates and members of the media will be staying for the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

This moment signifies a major milestone in the Host Committee’s years-long effort to ensure that the 2024 Democratic National Convention is inclusive, impactful, and beneficial for every corner of the city.

The Volunteer Appreciation Rally and Media and Delegate Welcome Parties will welcome tens of thousands of guests to two of Chicago’s most iconic locations: Wrigley Field and Navy Pier.

Chicago, IL – Today, the Chicago 2024 Host Committee announced that it has received more than 12,000 completed volunteer applications, surpassing a critical planning milestone more than a month before the Democratic National Convention in August.

During Pride month, and all year long, the convention team is focused on uplifting the diversity of Chicago’s small business community and ensuring convention visitors are aware of the variety of local venues and vendors available to them this August. 

Chicago, IL – Today, the Chicago 2024 Host Committee launched the official DNC volunteer application, a crucial milestone in the recruitment of 12,000+ volunteers for the upcoming Democratic National Convention. All interested volunteers must register and complete the application now available on the Host Committee’s website. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age or older, and able to pass a background check required by the United States Secret Service to participate.
