The Official DNC Volunteer Application Is Now Live

All volunteers must register for an account and complete the volunteer application using the link above. After you submit your application, you must complete a background check. Once you have been  cleared to volunteer, you will be granted access to sign up for available shifts later this summer. Volunteers will then complete a training and get connected to their volunteer leader.

Volunteers contribute in various ways, including, but not limited to, greeting guests, giving directions, assisting with event check-in, serving as ushers, providing transportation for credentialed guests and dignitaries, and much, much more. Individuals who pass a background check and initial screening can access a detailed list of volunteer roles and shifts before the convention. 

The time commitment for volunteers will vary depending on the needs of each volunteer role. Approved volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts.

Volunteer shifts will be available to individuals with approved applications later this summer.

The Chicago 2024 Host Committee and Democratic National Convention Committee are working through a volunteer transportation plan. At this time, we cannot guarantee transportation support for volunteers. We will notify volunteers if the situation changes.

Most volunteer shifts are during the convention from August 19th through August 22nd. Volunteer opportunities may be available before and after the convention. Once you pass the background check and screening, you can view available opportunities and select shifts that suit your schedule.
