The SoulFood Lounge serves global fusion soul food in an intimate upscale setting with a down-to-earth, soulful vibe. Global soul and comfort food inspired the menu and reflects the depth and richness of diverse culinary traditions influenced by African, American, Asian, Caribbean, Creole, French, Italian, and Spanish cuisines.
Restaurateur and visionary Chef Quentin Love opened the flagship SoulFood Lounge in 2022 and was the first chef to bring fine dining to North Lawndale on Chicago’s West Side. Located at 3804 W. 16th Street on the ground floor of the historic MLK Legacy Apartments, where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his wife Coretta Scott King, lived during his 1966 campaign for fair housing.
In fall 2023, The SoulFood Lounge II opened on the city’s South Side at 10701 S Hale Ave, Chicago, Illinois, 60643, in the Beverly neighborhood. Love believes all people deserve access to sit-down eateries and fine dining in their community.
The SoulFood Lounge has been named one of the “Best 11 New Restaurants in Chicago of 2023” and one of the city’s “10 Hottest Restaurants in Chicago” by Chicago Magazine. It is reservations only and BYOB.

The Love Foundation (501c3) founded in 2001 is Love’s non-profit organization. It is committed to supporting and uplifting families on Chicago’s South and West sides by providing them with resources, education, and mentorship for health and wellness, personal development, and economic empowerment.
