Martin Wilde

Independent professional providing a full suite of Audio Description services for over 10 years.
Described the 2020 Democratic National Convention, and the 2021 Presidential Inauguration for which I was awarded the American Council of the Blind Vernon Henley Media Award.
Martin currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Committee, which is currently developing guidelines and implementation plans for the first-ever Audio Description Certification.
Since 2013, Martin has provided Audio Description for hundreds of plays, operas, and other live events for local and national organizations, and hundreds of hours of TV shows, feature films, promotional videos, and advertisements.
Martin has written over 20 audio-described tours for the National Park Service, including the National Air and Space Museum and the Grand Canyon North and South Rims.
Martin is also the Founder of Arts Access International, an organization he formed to create human-centered, accessible, and inclusive digital experiences that embrace and support people across the spectrum of ability (www.artsaccessintl.com)
