Mentors act as coaches, role models, and advocates for
participants. They listen to challenges, and concerns,
and assist in solution finding, not fixing it themselves.
They help participants create attainable goals and devise an action plan to achieve them while providing supportive feedback. Above all, they strive to help participants complete the program and achieve stable social alignment through sobriety, have stable housing and the ability to manage financial responsibilities, and connect participants with productive veterans in the community.
